Real Madrid reveal bold new third kit ahead of 2026-27 season

Real Madrid have officially unveiled their third kit for the 2026-27 season, with the Spanish club opting for a vivid pink design featuring white detailing and patterns inspired by Latin American craftsmanship.

The new shirt was revealed on Wednesday, less than three weeks before Real Madrid begin their campaign. Their opening match is scheduled for Saturday, 22 August, when they will face Espanyol in the first round of La Liga.

The bright pink colour is the defining feature of the kit, while white is used on the V-neck collar, sleeves, adidas’ three stripes, the manufacturer’s logo and the Real Madrid crest.

According to Foot Mercato, the shirt also includes geometric patterns influenced by the handmade crafts of Latin America. The design is intended to reflect the connection between Real Madrid supporters around the world, as well as the passion for the club that extends beyond borders and cultural differences.

The kit is equipped with adidas’ Climacool technology, which is designed to absorb moisture. It also uses lightweight three-dimensional fabric to provide a better fit for players.

Real Madrid’s choice of pink gives the third kit a distinct appearance from the club’s traditional colours, while the white elements maintain a visual link with the team’s established identity. The geometric detailing adds another layer to the design, with its inspiration drawn from Latin American craft traditions.

The release comes as Real Madrid prepare for the start of the new season, with Espanyol set to provide the opposition in their first competitive fixture on 22 August. The club has presented the third shirt as a way of highlighting the worldwide nature of its support and the shared enthusiasm that brings fans together across different cultures.

As well as the shirt, the new design includes the wider kit details in the same pink-and-white colour scheme. Its technical features are intended to support comfort and fit, with Climacool technology focused on moisture management and the lightweight three-dimensional material designed to improve how the kit sits on the body.

Real Madrid will begin their 2026-27 campaign in the newly announced season, while the third kit provides an alternative to the club’s other playing designs. The official unveiling completes another part of the preparations for the campaign, which starts with the visit of Espanyol in La Liga.
