France international of Cameroonian descent Kylian Mbappe will not be available for Real Madrid’s FIFA Club World Cup opener against Al Hilal.
The Spanish giants takes on the Saudi Pro League giants on Wednesday night in a highly competitive clash in the USA, and Mbappe, who has fever has been ruled out of the upcoming clash.
His absence come as a huge blow for Real Madrid considering his exploits for the club since his arrival in Spain. Mbappe’s performance overshadowed the club struggles in the just ended campaign, where Madrid endured a trophyless run.
The forward racked up 43 goals across competitions for Real Madrid in his debut campaign.
In the absence of Mbappe, Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso is expected to count on Vinicius Jnr, Rodrigo, Bellingham and other top players in the team.
