Spanish giants Real Madrid are close to extending the contract of Morocco forward Brahim Diaz.
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on his X account: “Real Madrid has reached advanced talks regarding the signing of Brahim Diaz for a new five-year contract.”
He added, “The two parties are close to reaching an agreement after ongoing talks for two weeks, especially since the player has already agreed to stay and extend his contract.”
It is noteworthy that Brahim Diaz’s current contract with Real Madrid extends until the summer of 2027.
In the 2024/25 football season, Diaz scored four goals in 31 appearances for the Los Blancos.
Brahim Diaz joined Real Madrid on 6 January 2019, for a transfer fee of £15.5 million (€17 million) from Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Diaz recently missed Morocco’s back-to-back friendly games against Tunisia and Benin due to a muscle injury.
