Real Madrid eager to retain Brazilian-Cameroonian star Vinicius Junior

Spanish giants Real Madrid are keen on retaining Brazil international of Cameroonian descent, Vinicius Junior.

The 25-year-old pacey winger, who joined Real Madrid in 2018 has yet to sign a new deal for the club, with his current contract expected to elapse in summer 2027.

According to reports, Real Madrid are prioritizing Vinicius Junior’s contract extension as they seeks to tie him down at the club beyond 2027. The leadership of the club feels the Brazilian-Cameroonian star has not been treated fairly by head coach Xabi Alonso,

Since joining the club, Vinicius has established himself as a key member of the Spanish outfit, helping the club to annex two Champions League titles.

The 25-year-old winger has scored six goals and provided five assists in 22 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid.
