Spanish giants, Real Madrid are reported interested in signing France defender of Angolan descent Castello Lukeba.
Castello Lukeba, 22, is a former player of French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon but currently plays for German outfit RB Leipzig.
The defender has impressed scouts with his performances this season and is now a target of many teams.
He is reported to have a release clause worth €90m that becomes active from July 1.
Real Madrid could start negotiations now in hopes of signing the defender for a lower fee or wait to activate the release clause at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
Sources have told Africasoccer that Real Madrid wants to sign Castello Lukeba to bolster their defense for the long term.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Castello Lukeba and could move to secure the services of the in-demand defender in the next summer transfer window.
