Real Avila sign Mali defender Boubacar Diallo on free transfer

Mali centre-back Boubacar Diallo has joined Real Avila from Cadiz B on a free transfer, strengthening the Spanish club’s defence ahead of the new Segunda Federacion campaign.

The 22-year-old has signed a contract with Real Avila until 30 June 2027 after completing his move on 1 September 2026. He will play in Segunda Federacion Group V, having previously gained experience in Spain’s lower divisions with Cadiz B and At. Sanluqueno.

Diallo spent the 2025-26 season with At. Sanluqueno after joining them from Cadiz B on loan in July 2025. That spell ended on 30 June, when he returned to Cadiz B before leaving the club without a transfer fee.

The defender has recorded 52 appearances across Segunda Federacion and Primera Federacion. His experience includes 30 appearances in Segunda Federacion and 22 in Primera Federacion, giving him a substantial background in the levels of Spanish football in which Real Avila operate.

Born in Bamako, Diallo began his Spanish career with Cadiz CF C before moving to Malian club Etoiles Mande. He later returned to Spain, joining Cadiz B in July 2023. His earlier time in the country also included a loan move from Etoiles Mande to Cadiz CF C during the 2022-23 season.

Standing 1.86 metres tall and preferring his right foot, Diallo is expected to compete for a place at the heart of Real Avila’s defence. His arrival provides the club with a centre-back who has already played in both the third and fourth tiers of the Spanish league system.

Real Avila’s signing of Diallo is the latest step in a career that has taken the Mali international from Bamako to several clubs in Spain’s professional and semi-professional divisions. He joins the club with a market value of €50,000 and a contract running through the end of the 2026-27 season.

Diallo’s free transfer from Cadiz B to Real Avila was completed on 1 September 2026.
