German club RB Leipzig are interested in signing Ivorian forward Yan Diomande this summer.
The Bundesliga club is keen on securing the services of the attacker to strengthen their forward line.
The German club has reached a full verbal agreement with the 18-year-old winger, who currently plays for Spanish side CD Leganés.
Diomande is expected to join the Red Bulls in a move aimed at injecting fresh energy into the squad following a below-par 2024/25 campaign.
Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg confirmed on Monday that Diomande’s move is progressing well, and it is not linked to the club’s ongoing negotiations for PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko.
Both signings are being pursued independently as Leipzig prepares to revamp its forward line.
Diomande made 10 appearances for Leganés in La Liga last season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Despite limited game time, the teenager has caught the eye of several European clubs with his pace and flair.
For RB Leipzig, these traits will come in handy for the team if Diamonde is signed this summer.
