RB Leipzig hopeful of Yan Diomande return after international break

RB Leipzig can remain cautiously optimistic about having Yan Diomande back in action after the international break, with encouraging signs emerging ahead of the away match at Werder Bremen on April 4.

According to the Leipziger Volkszeitung, there are “positive signals” that the influential midfielder could be available for the trip to the Weserstadion.

The club is still taking a careful approach and does not want to take any unnecessary risks with the 19-year-old, despite the optimism around his recovery. Diomande has been sidelined for just over a week following a shoulder contusion suffered in the 5–0 win against TSG Hoffenheim, an injury that also affected the ligaments and joint capsule in the area.

His potential availability is closely linked to how well he can tolerate the remaining pain, which is currently the decisive factor. As a key performer for Leipzig this season, his return would be a major boost for the team in the Bundesliga run-in, but the medical and coaching staff are expected to clear him only if the situation is deemed fully manageable.
