Ramy Rabia may have played his final match for Al Ahly as talks with UAE club Al Ain progress.
The experienced defender is now a free agent after refusing to renew his contract with the Cairo giants.
According to a source who spoke with Kooora, Rabia is currently negotiating with Al Ain, though no final agreement has been made. His brother, acting as his agent, is handling discussions on his behalf.
“Al Ahly made an offer 10 days ago to Ramy Rabia, but he did not accept it and the football management informed him that this is the last and will not be increased, so the player went to trade between foreign offers,” the source said.
“So far, Ramy Rabia will not renew his contract with Al Ahly and the player has not reached a final agreement with Al Ain in the UAE, but he has entered into negotiations with his brother who is acting as his agent.”
Club officials are said to be upset, feeling Rabia was well supported but still opted for an exit.
