Raja Casablanca president Abdallah Berouine has signaled his intent to escalate the ongoing dispute involving player Hussein Rahimi and Emirati club Al Ain, following what he described as a lack of cooperation from the UAE side.
Speaking to Radio Mars, Berouine stated: “We have already contacted FIFA, Al Ain, and the Moroccan Football Federation to request the suspension of Rahimi’s registration. The player still has a valid contract with Raja until the end of this month. We are now waiting for his immediate return from the United States.”
Berouine also expressed shock that Al Ain had issued Rahimi an exit permit, emphasizing that Raja is seeking a swift resolution.
“We demand a formal letter guaranteeing our rights and clarifying the situation. The club will not hesitate to defend its interests,” he said.
Using a strong metaphor, Berouine warned, “Raja’s meat is bitter—we will not allow the club to be treated unfairly.” However, he also signaled hope for an amicable solution, adding, “We will rely on the friendly relations between the two clubs and the support of the Moroccan Football Federation to resolve this matter quickly.”
