French Ligue 1 side Racing Strasbourg are in talks to sign Cameroonian teenager Valentin Atangana this summer.
The club has been in negotiations with Stade de Reims for a while and is confident about reaching a deal to secure the services of the 19-year-old midfielder.
Strasbourg, now under the ownership of BlueCo since 2023, have adopted a youth-driven transfer strategy, and Atangana fits that profile perfectly.
The France youth international has emerged as one of the standout prospects from a Stade de Reims side that was relegated to Ligue 2 last season.
Sources indicate that Strasbourg are optimistic about finalising a deal for the Cameroonian-born teenager, who has been a key player for Gérald Baticle’s U21 squad and is seen as a future star.
However, Strasbourg face competition. According to Foot Mercato, Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart have also expressed interest, while several Premier League clubs are believed to be monitoring the situation.
Valentin Atangana and his representatives are expected to assess the options available before taking a final decision on the player’s future.
