Lassana Diarra Set for Premier League Return with QPR
Lassana Diarra is poised to make a return to the Premier League, two years after leaving Real Madrid for Russia.
According to Sky Sports, the French international is currently in London undergoing a medical ahead of a proposed move to Queens Park Rangers.
Diarra, 29, has spent the past two seasons in Russia, first with Anzhi Makhachkala and later with Lokomotiv Moscow. Should the deal go through, it would mark a return to English football for the midfielder, who previously played for Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth between 2005 and 2009.
Capped 28 times for France, Diarra has not featured for the national team since 2010. His potential signing is expected to bolster QPR’s midfield options as the club looks to strengthen before the close of the transfer window.
