Dame N’Doye Taroré is reportedly being considered by the leaders of the Qatar Football Federation, according to France Football.
The defender, who currently plays alongside Algerian Madjid Bougherra in the central defense of Lekhwiya, may be called up to represent Qatar in the Asian Cup.
The newly appointed coach of the Qatar national team, Djamel Belmadi, is interested in including Taroré in the squad for the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers.
Having obtained Qatari citizenship, the central defender is highly regarded and was even pursued by Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia during the last transfer window. At 27 years old, the younger brother of Valenciennes’ Mody Traoré is also considering his options regarding his international future, having also been approached by the Senegalese national team.
