Pyramids President Mamdouh Eid urges focus ahead of key CAF Champions League clash
Just hours before their vital second leg match against Ethiopian Insurance in the CAF Champions League, Pyramids FC president Mamdouh Eid met with his players emphasizing full concentration.
Eid reminded his squad, “We are the champions of Africa. Every match should reflect our spirit, and we must give everything, regardless of the opponent.” He warned against underestimating their rivals, who won the Ethiopian league, saying, “We need to play with the same attitude and seriousness, they deserve real respect.”
Eid reaffirmed strong faith in his team, hoping to maintain their status as continental giants. The club aims to solidify their spot in the group stages after a 1-1 draw in the first leg. Coach Krunoslav Jurcic announced a well-balanced lineup, although key defenders Osama Galal, Ramadan Sobhi, and Mostafa Fathi will miss the match due to injuries.
Pyramids eyes continued success, having captured both their first CAF Champions League and African Super Cup titles under Jurcic. Beyond tonight’s game, the team is also preparing for the Egyptian Super Cup against Zamalek in the UAE, and the Intercontinental Cup semifinals in Doha this December.
