Pyramids FC officials have reached a decision not to renew the contracts of several first-team players whose deals are set to expire at the end of the current season, following the team’s exit from the CAF Champions League group stage.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Pyramids FC has opted against extending the contract of Ahmed Fathi, whose deal concludes this season, citing concerns over the player’s age as he approaches 39 years old.
Additionally, the club has decided not to renew the contract of striker Dodo El-Gabbas, whose tenure with the team has been marred by inconsistent performances in recent times.
Furthermore, the club has also made the decision not to extend the contract of Islam Issa due to a decline in the player’s form and performance on the field.
Another departure from Pyramids FC at the end of the season will be striker Karim El-Tayeb.
In recent days, Pyramids FC management has successfully secured contract renewals with Osama Jalal, Mohamed Hamdi, Walid El Karti, and Ahmed Sami, all of whom were approaching the end of their contracts.
The club intends to undergo a restructuring of its squad ahead of the next season following a series of disappointing results in the current campaign.
