Pyramids FC have shot down claims linking them to a deal with Al Ahly defender Ramy Rabia, calling the reports completely false.
Despite Rabia’s contract expiring at the end of the season with no renewal in place, a reliable source within Pyramids insists there’s no move underway. The insider told Kooora, “Pyramids has not made any offers for the Al Ahly player.”
He added, “We have heard that Rabia is close to the Saudi league, but we don’t know the truth of the matter, all we can confirm is that we have not obtained the player’s signature.”
Rabia, 31, has been a long-serving figure at Al Ahly. He rose through the club’s youth system and joined the senior team in 2011. In 2014, he briefly moved to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon before returning to Cairo.
The seasoned Egyptian international has played over 337 matches for Al Ahly, registering 18 goals and 8 assists, according to Transfermarkt. Despite speculation, Pyramids have made it clear they are not part of any current pursuit.
