Ibrahimovic Returns to Paris for Injury Talks After Time in Sweden

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to the French capital following a 10-day visit to his native Sweden, where he had been on personal leave.

According to AFP, the Swedish international was back at PSG’s Camp des Loges training centre on Monday to consult with medical staff regarding a thigh injury that has sidelined him since early April.

Ibrahimovic, 32, has been recovering from a left thigh strain sustained on April 2. His rehabilitation process was briefly paused after the striker travelled to Sweden to be with family following the death of his brother, an absence granted by the club on compassionate grounds.

The former AC Milan and Barcelona forward missed several key fixtures during his time away, including PSG’s 2-1 victory over Lyon in the Coupe de la Ligue final at the Stade de France. Despite his absence, the Parisian side secured the domestic trophy, with goals from Edinson Cavani helping to clinch the win.

Ibrahimovic’s return to Paris marks a significant step in his recovery process, as the Ligue 1 leaders push toward securing the league title and prepare for a critical period in the season. While there is no official timetable for his return to full training or competitive action, PSG officials are expected to monitor his condition closely in the coming days.

The Swede has been a key figure for PSG this season, contributing both goals and leadership. His absence has been felt both on and off the pitch, although Cavani and other squad members have helped carry the attacking load during his spell on the sidelines.

PSG will be hopeful that Ibrahimovic can return to action before the end of the campaign, with several decisive matches remaining in both the league and potentially in Europe, depending on the club’s progress.

No official comment has been made by the player or the club regarding a return date, but Ibrahimovic’s presence at the training facility is seen as an encouraging sign.
