Paris Saint Germain are set for a massive transfer windfall following Hugo Ekitike’s move to Liverpool in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Ekitike completed his move to the Premier League giants this week, bringing an end to his spell with German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 22-year-old attacker joined Liverpool on a transfer fee around €90 million, including additional financial incentives.
Before moving to Frankfurt on permanent, Ekitike has had an unsuccessful with the French Ligue 1 outfit. PSG paid €35 million to sign the forward from Stade Reims in the summer of 2022, and after a season and a half, loaned him to Frankfurt for €3.5 million.
After just six months, the German club activated the purchase clause to secure the services of the attacker for 16.5 million euros, with PSG including a 20% of any future sale proceeds.
However, Paris Saint-Germain’s coffers is set for a massive15 million euros substantial windfall, thus recouping the amount the French club paid three years ago.
