PSG end Victor Osimhen transfer talk

Paris Saint-Germain have firmly ruled out a move for Victor Osimhen this summer, despite the Nigerian striker once again being linked with the club ahead of an expected busy transfer window.

His name resurfaced in rumours earlier on Tuesday, but the speculation was quickly shut down.

As reported by Foot Mercato, PSG have completely closed the door on signing Osimhen, even though he continues to shine as the focal point of Galatasaray’s attack in Turkey. From a sporting perspective, Luis Enrique is understood not to view his profile as the ideal fit for the style of play he is building in Paris.

Financial factors also play a major role. Galatasaray now see Osimhen as the centrepiece of their long-term project and are unwilling to negotiate for less than around €150 million, a figure PSG are not prepared to invest in a 27-year-old while trying to maintain stricter financial discipline since 2023. On top of that, Osimhen’s net salary of about €20 million per year in Turkey makes any potential deal even more unrealistic for the French champions.
