However, unofficially, Cavani’s income could be significantly increased through various bonuses. The Uruguayan daily El Observador reports on the details of Cavani’s five-year contract with PSG, revealing potential lucrative bonuses:
- 2.5 million euros if PSG wins the Champions League.
- 450,000 euros if PSG retains the French Ligue 1 title.
- 220,000 euros in the event of final victory in one of the National Cups.
- 600,000 euros if he respects the club’s management’s charter of good conduct.
Additionally, there’s a bonus for Cavani if he scores at least 20 goals in the season, as reported by the Italian newspaper Il Mattino.
While Cavani’s official salary is substantial, these bonuses have the potential to significantly enhance his overall earnings. It’s worth noting that Cavani’s salary is less than that of his teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who earns 15 million euros net per year.
