Jean-Christophe Bahebeck Stays at PSG After Unexpected Turnaround
Despite expecting to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, Jean-Christophe Bahebeck has had a surprising reversal of fortune. Instead of being transferred, the 21-year-old striker earned a contract extension with the Parisian club — a scenario he admits caught him off guard.
“When I came back this summer, I wanted to prepare well to find a way out because I thought it would be difficult for me to stay,” Bahebeck revealed in an interview with Le Parisien. But after a string of strong preseason performances, PSG changed course and decided to keep him in their ranks.
Bahebeck attributes his resurgence not only to his physical readiness but also to mental training. “I worked with a mental trainer that I saw several times at the end of last season. It got me back on track,” he explained.
Now settled in Paris for the time being, Bahebeck hopes to build on this momentum and prove that he deserves a lasting place in PSG’s competitive squad.
