Hersi Al-Saeed, President of Young Africans (Yanga SC), expressed his delight at visiting the headquarters of Al Ahly on the sidelines of the upcoming match between the two teams on Friday, marking the conclusion of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The media center of Al Ahly reported that Saad Shalaby, the club’s CEO, welcomed the President of Young Africans and his accompanying delegation, who were keen to visit the Red Castle to discuss avenues of cooperation.
Shalaby stated that strong relations bind Egypt and Tanzania, as well as the robust ties between Al Ahly and Young Africans, considering them as one of the continent’s prominent clubs.
The President of Young Africans affirmed that his visit to Al Ahly aimed at observing what he described as the pioneering experience in various fields and benefiting from its technical and managerial expertise across various sectors, in addition to exchanging sporting experiences.
He expressed his delight at visiting Al Ahly, a club that enjoys significant popularity not only in Tanzania but throughout the African continent, which prompted him to undertake this visit.
Al Ahly and Young Africans secured spots in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League, while CR Belouizdad of Algeria and Medeama SC of Ghana bid farewell to the tournament.
