Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League sides Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old winger, who previously played for Arsenal, joined Villarreal on a free transfer in August 2024 following a short stint at Turkish club Trabzonspor.
Since arriving in La Liga, Pepe has made 24 appearances and scored twice, playing a key role in Villarreal’s push for a Champions League spot.
Despite his modest goal tally, Villarreal are eager to keep the Ivorian beyond his current contract, which expires at the end of next season.
However, French outlet Foot Mercato reports that both Everton and Wolves are considering a move for the experienced forward.
Pepe is also attracting renewed interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, who had attempted to sign him last year before he opted for a move to Spain.
Pepe’s revival in form with Villarreal has boosted his market value and placed him back on the radar of clubs in need of proven attacking talent.
