Paul Pogba’s appearance alongside several of his former Manchester United teammates at the FIFA Club World Cup in Miami has reignited speculation about his next career move.
The 32-year-old midfielder, who is of Guinean descent, remains a free agent after serving a doping ban that led to the termination of his Juventus contract earlier this year.
The French international was spotted at the Hard Rock Stadium during a Club World Cup fixture between Boca Juniors and Benfica — a match that ended 2-2 following a dramatic late equaliser from Nicolás Otamendi.
Pogba posted a group photo on Instagram, showing him flanked by Sergio Romero, Edinson Cavani, Marcos Rojo, and Ander Herrera — all of whom, like Pogba, once wore the Manchester United jersey.
“What a pleasure to see my friends!” Pogba wrote, prompting immediate online buzz and sparking fresh rumours that he may be considering a move to South America, potentially joining Boca Juniors, where Romero, Cavani, and Rojo currently play.
The sighting has added fuel to recent reports linking the World Cup winner with several clubs in need of experience and star power.
With no official word from Pogba’s camp, the timing and setting of the reunion have only intensified speculation.
Meanwhile, the game itself was an ill-tempered contest that saw three red cards issued, including one to Herrera for dissent.
Former United winger Ángel Di María — now with Benfica — also featured, converting a penalty in a match that was as fiery as it was dramatic.
