Pitso Mosimane, the head coach of Saudi club Abha, praised the achievements of Hassan Shehata with the Egyptian national team, highlighting his three consecutive African Cup of Nations titles with the Pharaohs.
In an interview with Saudi Sports Channel (SSC), Mosimane stated, “The Egyptian national team holds the record for the most African Cup of Nations titles, and Hassan Shehata achieved that with me. He is an example of a successful African coach.”
The former Al Ahly coach added, “We have seen many European coaches who did not succeed with the Egyptian national team, but success was achieved with a national coach, Hassan Shehata.”
Hassan Shehata led the Egyptian national team to victory in the African Cup of Nations three times in a row in 2006, 2008, and 2010, as well as winning the Arab Games in 2007 and the Nile Basin Tournament in 2011.
