The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has been unveiled as an official partner of the inaugural 32-team FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, set to kick off on June 14 in the United States. This partnership marks a significant step in both PIF’s expanding global sports footprint and FIFA’s mission to elevate football worldwide.
The month-long tournament will feature 32 of the world’s top clubs, representing all six FIFA confederations, and will unfold across 12 stadiums in 11 U.S. cities, culminating in a grand finale at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey on July 13. For fans globally, every match will be live-streamed for free on DAZN.com.
Romy Gai, Chief Business Officer at FIFA, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership:
“We are delighted to welcome PIF as a partner of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™. Together, we look forward to delivering a historic tournament that inspires and unites fans from around the world.
“The partners of the first-ever 32-team FIFA Club World Cup believe in our vision to make football truly global. Their support of the tournament will not only be integral to its success but will underpin investment in supporting the development of club football everywhere.”
PIF’s Head of Corporate Brand, Mohammed AlSayyad, emphasized the broader goals of the collaboration:
“PIF is creating a legacy of transformative impact in sports including through its partnerships, delivering positive and lasting results at every level, from players and fans to host communities.
“PIF is at the forefront of growing football around the world following our Concacaf partnership announced last year and our continued investment in football. We are unlocking opportunities to drive the growth of the sport around the world.”
The partnership also underlines Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global football development, ahead of its hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2034™.
With a strong focus on youth and grassroots engagement, the collaboration promises to be a game-changer not just for the tournament, but for the sport’s future.
