Pierre Kalulu says he never once worried about making his stay at Juventus permanent.
The Congolese-French defender’s loan move from AC Milan was officially turned into a full transfer last week, a decision he believed was always coming.
Speaking at a Club World Cup press conference, Kalulu reflected on his time in Turin so far and his belief in the club’s plans for him.
“Honestly, I was never afraid that Juventus would not buy me. I always had faith in my work and I’m happy that everything went well,” Kalulu said.
Though his deal only became official recently, Kalulu explained that he already felt settled at the club.
“I was on loan, but in reality since last summer I have always felt part of the team and the Juve environment. My situation has changed on a contractual level, but the rest is the same.”
Juventus face Al Ain in their first match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, with Kalulu expected to play a key role in the backline.
