Philippe Lanquetin: ES Sahel linked with Estoril U23 defender

French-Tunisian defender Philippe Lanquetin is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Estoril U23 to Tunisian Ligue 1 side ES Sahel.

Lanquetin, 21, joined Estoril U23 from RC Lens U19 on a free transfer in September 2023 and remains under contract with the Portuguese club until 30 June 2027.

The centre-back has yet to make an appearance for Estoril U23 in the 2026-27 Liga Next Gen U23 campaign, having been listed in the squad for one possible game. He spent part of last season on loan at ADO Den Haag before returning to Estoril at the end of December 2025.

Lanquetin was part of the Estoril Praia U23 side that won the Portuguese Under-23 championship in the 2023-24 season. He has played primarily as a right-footed central defender since joining the club from Lens’ youth system.

A move to ES Sahel would take Lanquetin to Tunisia’s top flight, with the club named as the potential destination in the latest transfer link. No transfer fee or probability has been reported, and the proposed move has not been confirmed.

For now, Lanquetin remains an Estoril U23 player with a contract running through June 2027.
