Egyptian outfit Petrojet Club has confirmed the exit of defender Hadi Riad.
The club expressed its gratitude in a brief Facebook post, stating, “Thank you, Hadi Riad.”
Riad is expected to join domestic giants Al Ahly in a transfer reportedly valued at around 30 million Egyptian pounds, with payments scheduled in instalments to Petrojet.
The move marks Al Ahly’s fifth acquisition this winter, following the arrivals of Moroccan Youssef Belamri, the duo Amr El-Gazzar and Ahmed Eid, and Marwan Osman, who joined on loan.
Riad, 27, has previously featured for Sherbin, Wadi Degla, Haras El Hodoud, and Kafr El Sheikh before joining Petrojet four seasons ago.
During his time with the club, he made 44 appearances and scored twice.
