Stade Brestois manager Eric Roy is excited about Paul Pogba’s anticipated move to AS Monaco.
According to him, the move is great news for Ligue 1 and AS Monaco as well.
“It is great news for Ligue 1, for him, and for Monaco. I look on it favourably, even if there is a lot of uncertainty about his fitness,” Stade Brestois manager Eric Roy told Le Parisien.
Pogba, a member of the France squad that won the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has been cleared to return to the pitch after completing his doping ban suspension early this year.
The former Manchester United star’s ban was reduced from four years to just 18 months after an appeal.
Having terminated the contract with Juventus, the 32-year-old midfielder will have to find a new club before the commencement of the upcoming campaign.
In the past few months, Paul Pogba has continued to train in a bid to stay in shape ahead of his return to the pitch.
After several links to a number of clubs, it appears he is on his way to AS Monaco.
Information gathered indicates that the deal is all but done, and the Ligue 1 club is set to finalise the deal for the Frenchman this week.
