France midfielder with Guinean roots, Paul Pogba, is officially free to return to football.
His ban from football has officially been lifted today, Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Initially facing a four-year suspension, Pogba successfully appealed to have it cut to 18 months before December 2024.
Italian Serie A side Juventus parted ways with the 31-year-old earlier this season after he tested positive for testosterone in August 2023.
The club terminated the contract of the World Cup winner not just because of his suspension but also due to financial concerns and the uncertainty surrounding the player’s return to football.
With his ban lifted today, Paul Pogba’s future remains a hot topic. Olympique Marseille have shown strong interest in securing his services to bolster their midfield, while clubs in MLS and the Saudi Pro League are also monitoring his situation.
There are even reports of a potential return to Manchester United, though no formal approach has been made.
Despite his time away from the pitch, Paul Pogba still holds a market value of around €6 million, according to recent estimates.
The midfielder has been training during the time he was suspended and is hoping to sign for a new club as soon as possible.
