Morocco’s Anass Salah Eddine joins Panathinaikos on loan from Roma

Moroccan international Anass Salah Eddine has joined Greek club Panathinaikos on loan from Italian side Roma, adding another North African player to the club’s squad.

The move was confirmed by Panathinaikos during the current summer transfer window, with the agreement also including an option for the Greek club to make the defender’s transfer permanent.

Salah Eddine arrives at Panathinaikos after a spell with Roma, having previously gained experience in several European leagues.

The Morocco international began his senior career in the Netherlands, where he played for Ajax and Twente, before earning a move to Roma.

He later spent time on loan at PSV Eindhoven, giving him further experience in Dutch football before his latest switch to Greece.

The move to Panathinaikos now gives Salah Eddine the opportunity to test himself in the Greek league as he looks to continue his development at club level.

Salah Eddine’s arrival means Panathinaikos now have three Moroccan players in their squad.

He joins compatriots Azzedine Ounahi and Imran Louza at the Greek club, strengthening the Moroccan presence within the team.

For Salah Eddine, the loan move from Roma represents another opportunity to establish himself in European football while playing alongside fellow Moroccan internationals.
