France midfielder of Guinean descent, Paul Pogba, is on the verge of sealing his move to AS Monaco.
The player has been in talks with the Ligue 1 club in the last few weeks over a possible move to the side.
According to Transfer Insider Fabrizio Romano, Paul Pogba and AS Monaco have agreed on a deal which will allow the midfielder to sign a two-year contract in the coming days.
In a post on X, Romano said Pogba will travel to Monaco for his medical examination this week.
“BREAKING: Paul Pogba to AS Monaco, here we go! Verbal agreement in place, contract until June 2027.
“Final details have been sorted, contract to be checked by lawyers in next hours and then Paul will fly to Monaco in 24h. Medical tests later this week. Pogback.” Fabrizio Romano said.
Pogba, a member of the France squad that won the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has been cleared to return to the pitch after completing his doping ban suspension early this year.
The former Manchester United star’s ban was reduced from four years to just 18 months after an appeal.
Having terminated the contract with Juventus, the 32-year-old midfielder is now set to sign for AS Monaco.
