Paul Pogba, the former Juventus midfielder with a rollercoaster career, recently shared how tough it was to walk away from Manchester United as a young player.
Speaking to GQ France, the former Red Devils star peeled back the curtain on his emotional exit in 2012, a moment that left a lasting mark on him.
“I was really sad when I left Manchester United at 19,” Pogba said. “At first, I cried. Coming back to the club that meant so much to me was always my goal.”
After leaving United, Pogba found his footing at Juventus, dazzling fans for four years before returning to Manchester in 2016 for a jaw-dropping €110m fee.
His homecoming, though, didn’t live up to the hype, and he parted ways with United again in 2022, heading back to Juventus. There, he hit more bumps, including a doping ban, but with that chapter now closed, he’s eager to lace up his boots again.
Pogba’s journey full of highs, lows, and heartfelt moments shows his deep connection to the game.
