Paul Pogba, the French international of Guinean origin, finds himself in a state of uncertainty regarding his future. While PSG and Real Madrid are both interested in acquiring his services, the progress of negotiations has been slow. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, shed some light on the situation, explaining the reason behind the apparent sluggishness in the Pogba transfer saga.
Al-Khelaifi clarified that while PSG holds interest in Pogba, there have been no discussions with the midfielder from Juventus Turin. Addressing the issue in an interview with the Italian channel Sport Media, Al-Khelaifi reiterated PSG’s stance, stating, “Pogba? We didn’t speak with him. We will evaluate all possibilities only at the end of the season.”
Despite advocating for patience regarding Pogba’s situation, PSG cannot afford to delay action for too long. Convincing Juventus Turin to part ways with their prized asset may prove challenging, especially considering Pogba is under contract until 2016. Moreover, PSG must also remain wary of competition, with Real Madrid still in the picture according to reports from English media outlet Talksport.
