Paris Saint-Germain sign France midfielder Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of French midfielder Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco, with the 24-year-old agreeing a contract with the French champions until the summer of 2031.

Akliouche will wear the number 11 shirt at Paris Saint-Germain after formally joining the club on Thursday, 6 August 2026.

The France international has established himself as one of the leading young talents in French football after becoming a regular starter for Monaco. His performances have also attracted attention in the Champions League, where he scored against Barcelona and found the net against Red Star Belgrade.

Akliouche also played a creative role in Monaco’s European campaign, providing assists against Dinamo Zagreb and Benfica.

He has produced consistent numbers over the past two seasons. In the 2024-25 campaign, Akliouche scored seven goals and supplied 12 assists in 43 appearances. He matched his goals tally in 2025-26, again scoring seven times, while registering 11 assists in another 43 matches.

His move to Paris Saint-Germain marks the latest step in an international career that began with France’s Olympic team. Akliouche represented France at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where the side won the silver medal.

He was then called up to the France senior team for the first time in September 2025. Akliouche scored his first international goal against Azerbaijan and was subsequently included in France’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

The midfielder now joins the reigning French champions on a long-term deal, with Paris Saint-Germain securing his services through to 2031. His number 11 shirt will accompany him as he begins the next chapter of his career in Paris.

Akliouche’s arrival follows his emergence as a key figure at Monaco, where his ability to contribute both goals and assists helped underline his status as one of France’s most prominent young players. His displays in domestic football and the Champions League, together with his progress through the national teams, have led to his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
