Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window.
Osimhen is set for a permanent departure from Napoli in the summer, with several top European clubs expressing keen interest in the former Serie A goal king.
Currently on a season-long loan at Galatasaray, the Nigeria international has performed admirably, racking up 26 goals and providing 5 assists in 30 appearances across competitions.
Last summer, the French club did everything possible to snatch Osimhen but the move fell through.
While PSG sporting director Luis Ocampos pushed for the signing of Osimhen, Luis Enrique, who is the manager of the club was not keen about his signing a traditional number 9.
With Ousmane Dembélé excelling in that role this season and to great effect and with Ocampos’ future uncertain, will unlikely make a move for Osimhen in the summer.
Meanwhile, Osimhen remains high on Manchester United wishlist as they seeks to secure his services to strengthen their attack.
