Palestine international Adam Kaied, born in Sweden, is on the brink of completing a move to Egyptian heavyweights Zamalek SC – a decision that could mark a pivotal turning point in his footballing journey.
As reported by Expressen, the 23-year-old winger is close to finalising terms with the Cairo-based club.
Kaied is expected to travel to Egypt next week to undergo a medical and put pen to paper with the five-time CAF Champions League winners.
Kaied, a product of Helsingborgs IF’s youth system, currently plies his trade at Norwegian side Stabaek.
Last season, he went on loan to Dutch club NAC Breda, making 16 appearances and netting once in the Eredivisie.
Though his stats in the Netherlands were modest, Kaied remains highly regarded for his creativity, dribbling skills, and ability to operate across the front line.
Opting to represent Palestine internationally, Kaied embodies a powerful narrative of dual identity – rooted in his Swedish upbringing and Palestinian heritage.
A move to Zamalek would immerse him in one of Africa’s most historic football institutions, exposing him to fervent fans and high-stakes continental competition.
If the transfer goes through, Kaied would gain the chance to reignite his form in a competitive environment, with the added opportunity of showcasing his talent in the CAF Confederation Cup – a stage that could raise his profile across both African and Asian football spheres.
