Guinean left-back Pa Momodou Konaté is on the verge of extending his stay at Bulgarian club Spartak Varna beyond June 2025, according to reports from Africafoot.
Konaté, who joined the club last summer from Cypriot side Nea Salamis, has quickly become a key figure in the squad.
The 30-year-old has played a crucial role in Spartak Varna’s impressive season, helping the team climb to sixth place in the league after 19 matches.
So far, he has made 16 appearances and provided one assist.
In an effort to maintain momentum, Spartak Varna is working to secure contract extensions for several key players, including Croatian midfielder Christian Ilic and Slovakian playmaker Filip Lesniak.
Football director Martin Zafirov is expected to finalize the new deals soon.
Born in Malmö, Sweden, Konaté represents Guinea at the international level and is currently valued at approximately €500,000, according to Transfermarkt.
Spartak Varna’s next league fixture is against FK Arda Kardzhali as they look to continue their strong campaign.
