Ghanaian winger Owusu Kwabena is being linked with a move from Israeli side Maccabi Bnei Reineh to Turkish club Sakaryaspor, according to transfer data compiled on 4 February 2026.
The 28-year-old, currently valued at €400k, is the subject of speculation over a switch from the Israeli Ligat ha’Al to Türkiye’s 1. Lig, with his future at Bnei Reineh described only as a rumour at this stage. The reported probability of the deal remains unclear, listed simply as “?” in the latest update, and there is no public information on the length or terms of any potential contract. With no contract expiry date recorded for his stay at Bnei Reineh, the possibility of him moving on as a free agent cannot be ruled out, though this is not confirmed.
Owusu joined Maccabi Bnei Reineh from Hungarian champions Ferencvárosi TC and wears the number 11 shirt. The right-footed left winger has built a career across multiple leagues, including spells in Spain (Real Oviedo, FC Cartagena, Salamanca CF UDS, Córdoba CF and CD Leganés), Azerbaijan (Qarabağ FK), Hungary (Zalaegerszegi TE and Ferencváros) and Türkiye (MKE Ankaragücü).
His market value has fluctuated significantly over the past decade, peaking at €1m during his time with Ferencváros in June 2023 before dropping to his current €400k mark, first reached in May 2024 and reaffirmed in December 2025 at Bnei Reineh. That valuation is being cited in speculation over the potential fee required to prise him away from Israel, should he not be available on a free.
Born in Accra on 18 June 1997 and standing at 1.82m, Owusu’s extensive experience in European and Asian football could appeal to Sakaryaspor as they look to strengthen their attacking options from the left. If a move does materialise, a return to Türkiye’s football landscape may offer him a fresh platform to rebuild his value and reshape the next phase of his career.
