Ousmane Toure attracts Dunkerque interest as Lille defender weighs Ligue 2 switch

French-Malian centre-back Ousmane Toure is being linked with a move from Lille to Ligue 2 side USL Dunkerque.

Toure, 21, remains under contract with Lille until 30 June 2028, meaning any move would require an agreement between the two clubs. The defender’s market value is listed at €500,000.

Born in Lille, Toure has spent his development years with the club, progressing from the youth ranks to Lille B before joining the senior squad in July 2024. He subsequently spent part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Valenciennes, returning to Lille at the end of that campaign.

The right-footed centre-back has made two Ligue 1 appearances for Lille, accumulating 57 minutes, and has also featured once in the Champions League. His senior record includes 27 appearances and one goal in National 2, along with 16 appearances, one goal and one assist in Ligue 3.

Dunkerque are competing in Ligue 2, one division below Lille’s Ligue 1 side. A transfer would give Toure the opportunity to continue his development away from Lille, although there is no confirmed agreement or reported fee for the proposed move.

Toure is currently valued at €500,000 and remains a Lille player with two years left on his existing contract.
