Ousmane Dembele has taken the lead in the race for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, moving ahead of young Barcelona star Lamine Yamal in Goal’s latest Power Rankings.
The Paris Saint-Germain winger impressed on the biggest stage, guiding his side to Champions League glory with two assists in a crushing 5-0 win over Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena. His electric pace and sharp decision-making in the final added to an already brilliant season, pushing him to the front of the Ballon d’Or conversation.
Dembele now leads a top five filled with star power. Yamal sits second after a standout season with Barcelona, while Raphinha claims third, just ahead of Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe.
Further down the list, PSG youngster Desire Doue breaks into sixth, showing his rising influence. PSG winger Kvaratskhelia, PSG defender Hakimi, and Barcelona’s Pedri occupy spots seven to nine, with England captain Harry Kane rounding out the top ten.
With just a few months until the Ballon d’Or is awarded, Dembele’s strong finish could be the edge he needs.
