Ousmane Dembele scores on return but promises even greater things ahead

Ousmane Dembele marked his big return to action with a goal for Paris Saint-Germain in their emphatic 7-2 Champions League victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday evening at the BayArena. 

Coming off the bench in the 63rd minute, just three minutes before scoring, Ousmane Dembele proved he’s back and hungry for more.

“I’m easing my way back in. When you come back from injury, you’re not 100% yet,” Ousmane Dembele explained honestly. “I really wanted to play against Strasbourg, but the coach told me to wait a bit longer. I felt very good in this match. I feel good overall. Little by little, I’m regaining my sensations.”

This performance delighted PSG fans, not just for the win, but for seeing Ousmane Dembele’s confidence and smile return. The match was full of action, Willian Pacho opened the scoring, followed by strikes from Desire Doue (who got a brace), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Dembele himself.
