Ousmane Dembele believes Paris Saint-Germain’s transformation into a European powerhouse is no accident.
He credits Luis Enrique for reshaping the team with a fresh mindset and purpose.
Speaking to UEFA ahead of the Champions League final, the French forward described how the Spanish coach made an immediate impact upon arrival. According to Dembele, Enrique brought a clear plan and quickly shifted the mood inside the club.
“The coach arrived with a very clear idea. He’s changed a lot of things in the team and the mentality of the players has also changed,” admits Dembele.
He spoke about a group of players now driven by the desire to win and challenge each other at every turn. The mission is clear, deliver the club’s first Champions League trophy.
“We’re really hungry for trophies. We really want to win trophies so we push each other. I think the competition in this team is vital for the players to give their all.”
PSG will play Inter Milan on May 31st at the Allianz Arena in Germany.
