France midfielder Adrien Rabiot has tipped France attacker of Malian descent, Ousmane Dembele, to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.
According to him, Dembele is deserving of the award than all the players in contention for the prize.
“For me, Dembélé deserves the Ballon d’Or. He won the Champions League and was consistently decisive on the pitch,” Adrien Rabiot told La Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview.
In the interview, Rabiot also congratulated PSG for dominating Inter Milan in the finals of the UEFA Champions League and winning the trophy.
“The PSG team played a great match that crowns a great season. There was no contest. Everyone here [in Italy] was wondering what happened to the Inter side that had eliminated Barcelona. Maybe Lautaro wasn’t at his best, and only Thuram stood out. But Inter didn’t play their final. Losing 5-0 is humiliating,” Rabiot said.
The UEFA Champions League win has put Dembele in a good position to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.
