Abdeslam Ouaddou is making a return to French Ligue 1 and rejoining his training club Nancy. The Moroccan central defender, who has been without a contract since leaving Qatar SC, has now signed with AS Nancy-Lorraine.
Following several weeks of training with the reserve team, Ouaddou, a former player for Rennes and Valenciennes, has successfully impressed the leaders of AS Nancy-Lorraine. At the age of 34, Ouaddou has committed to the club until the end of the season. This information has been officially confirmed by Nicolas Holveck, the vice-president of Nancy, on the club’s official website.
AS Nancy-Lorraine currently finds itself at the bottom of the French championship after the first leg, with 11 points. The team is gearing up for a turnaround, with the operation to climb up the rankings scheduled to begin on January 13 against Lille.
