Osman Addo joins Helsingborgs as Viborg winger moves to Sweden on loan
Denmark-Somalia winger Osman Addo has joined Swedish club Helsingborgs IF from Viborg FF on loan, completing a move across the Øresund on 1 September 2026.
The 22-year-old left winger will remain with Helsingborgs until 31 December 2026. The Swedish club compete in the Superettan, while Addo moves from Viborg’s Superliga squad after arriving in Denmark’s top flight earlier this year.
Addo made six appearances in the Superliga Championship round during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring once and playing 123 minutes. He joins Helsingborgs as a right-footed wide player who can operate from the left side of attack.
His spell at Viborg followed a €100,000 move from B.93 on 21 January 2026. Addo had progressed into B.93’s senior team after playing for the club’s under-19 side, having previously represented B.93 Youth.
He began his youth career with Boldklubben af 1893 and helped the club’s under-19 side win the Danish second-tier youth championship in 2021. That remains the only listed honour of his career.
Addo’s move gives Helsingborgs a player with experience of Danish senior football and a recent appearance record in the Superliga Championship round. His first spell at Viborg lasted less than a year before the switch to Sweden was completed.
The winger’s move also represents a temporary change of league and country, with Helsingborgs acquiring his services from a club competing at a higher level in Denmark’s football structure. The loan is scheduled to end on 31 December, when Addo is due to return to Viborg FF.
Addo has now completed his loan transfer from Viborg FF to Helsingborgs IF.
