Victor Osimhen played a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s dominant 5-1 victory over Eyupspor in Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig match.

The Nigerian international, who has been in exceptional form this season, contributed with both a goal and an assist, further cementing his reputation as one of the league’s top performers.

Osimhen, fresh from helping Galatasaray secure a place in the Turkish Cup final, was instrumental in his side’s triumph.

The match began with him setting up Roland Sallai for the opening goal in the 12th minute. His vision and accuracy in delivering the assist showcased his ability to impact the game beyond just scoring.

Four minutes before the hour mark, Lucas Torreira extended Galatasaray’s lead with a second goal, further boosting their confidence.

The highlight of Osimhen’s performance came in the 71st minute when he netted his own goal, making it 3-0.

His clinical finish added to his impressive tally and put the game beyond Eyupspor’s reach.

Although a late brace from Alvaro Morata sealed the deal for Galatasaray, it was Osimhen’s contributions that ensured the team was firmly in control throughout the match.

With this win, Galatasaray extended their lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig, now sitting comfortably with 80 points from 31 games.
