Moroccan international Osama El-Azouzi played a pivotal role in Bologna’s triumph over Lazio on Sunday, securing a vital win for his team in the twenty-fifth round of the Italian Serie A football league.
El-Azouzi’s goal marked his first of the season in the Italian “Calcio” competition, showcasing his impact and contribution to Bologna’s campaign.
The match saw Danish midfielder Gustav Isaksen open the scoring for Lazio in the 18th minute.
However, Moroccan talent Osama El-Azouzi swiftly responded, netting the equalizer for Bologna in the 39th minute.
In the second half, Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee secured the winning goal for Bologna in the 78th minute, ensuring a crucial three points for his side.
With this victory, Bologna’s points tally rose to 45, placing them fifth in the league standings.
Meanwhile, Lazio’s points stagnated at 37, leaving them in eighth position.
It is worth noting that Osama El-Azouzi joined Bologna during the previous summer transfer window, signing a four-year contract with an optional fifth year, after his spell at Saint-Gilloise in Belgium.
