Orlando Pirates name starting XI for CAF Champions League clash with La Cure Waves

Orlando Pirates have confirmed their starting line-up for the second leg of their CAF Champions League first preliminary-round tie against La Cure Waves on 12 September 2026.

The match will be played at Orlando Amstel Arena, with the two sides level after a goalless draw in the opening leg last weekend.

Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side have had a full week to prepare for the return fixture, having had no midweek commitments. Orlando Pirates are also unbeaten across all competitions and have progressed to another final.

The Buccaneers have strengthened their squad with the signing of Bheki Mabuza. Daniel Msendami, who appeared in the first leg against La Cure Waves, has joined Marumo Gallants on loan.

The winners of the tie will meet either AS Manga Sport or African Stars in the next round.

Orlando Pirates will start with Chaine in goal, while Zulu, Seema and Rapoo form the defensive line. Sebelebele and Mokobodi are also included, with Mthiyane, Masilela and Kgositsile named in the starting XI.

Appollis and Mbuthuma complete the line-up.
